More inspiration

These two weddings are all about the DIY and rage against the wedding machine.

I like how this couple did their own food. Even though we won't be doing anything that elaborate, they've got some good budget ideas, etc.

I admire these two for their crazy budget idea. Needless to say, we won't be quite so frugal, but it's inspiring to remember we don't need everything to look perfect or be how everyone expects.

I can see us being friends with these sorts of granola-crunching social justice independent types. Except that I'd have to learn how to crochet and you'd have to pick up mountain biking.

Here are the titanium rings. I'll have to research more on how good titanium is for this sort of thing.

These ties are actually pretty cool, in an emo-esque sort of way. I probably wouldn't want one, but the groomsmen might? Your brother especially would look great in some of these.

These might be a cool idea for us. I could design them. We'd hand them out as programs to the people attending our wedding.

Finally, I found this article about winter weddings winter weddings that has a few good ideas. Most notably: the ideas about the shaws (because you're always cold), and spiced wine and squash soup. Especially the squash soup.

Invitation Ideas #1

Here are some invitation ideas that I quickly pieced together. You wouldn't believe the wide variety that there is out there. There are some that I like because of the colors (not the bright pink ones), and some that I like because of the concept.

My personal favorite? The "Top Gun" spoof.

If so, then... whatever.

But if you're looking for this entire thing to be about "us", then we should move forward together with ideas and things that inspire us. I've been --and don't tell my friends this-- visiting a few wedding blogs, doing a few image searches, and come up with some things that I like. I thought you might be interested.

So, this is a blog that you and I both can turn to as a common source of information/inspiration at any computer, not just yours and mine.
